Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is recruiting a proactive SEN Teaching Assistant for an on-site role at a school in Tunbridge Wells. You will support pupils with SEMH and ASD, helping them engage with learning and access personal care when needed.

The role requires experience with SEN and a positive, patient approach, building strong relationships with pupils and working closely with educators to create an inclusive learning environment.

Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an SEN school based in Tunbridge Wells. The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs and Autism / ASD, providing a supportive environment tailored to individual needs.

The school is looking to take on a proactive SEN Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will support pupils with SEMH and ASD, helping them engage with their learning, manage their individual needs and access personal care where required.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children and young people with SEN
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH and Autism / ASD
• Confidence undertaking personal care responsibilities
• A proactive and positive attitude
• Patience, resilience and strong communication skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
