Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. is recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant for a mainstream primary school in Derby with a dedicated SEND hub. The role is full-time, long-term, starting ASAP until July 2027, term-time only from 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Are you a patient and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant who can provide consistent support to children in EYFS and Key Stage 1 / KS1?

The school offers a supportive working environment, with staff committed to helping children with additional needs access their education and reach their potential.

The school is looking to take on an SEN Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis, starting ASAP and continuing until July 2027, working term time only from 8:30am to 3:30pm. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work within the SEND hub supporting a group of 8 children across EYFS and KS1 with ASD, ADHD and challenging behaviours, providing consistent support with their learning, development and behaviour.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs / SEN

• Experience supporting children with ASD and ADHD

• Experience supporting children who display challenging behaviours

• Experience working with children in EYFS and/or KS1

• A patient, resilient and caring approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
