Job summary

TeacherActive in Rochester is seeking a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school on a long-term basis.

You will support children with additional needs, assist with personal care when required, and help pupils access learning with a patient, nurturing approach.

The role is paid via PAYE with ongoing support from dedicated consultants.

Qualifications

Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEN schools in Rochester who are looking to appoint a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant. The school provides a supportive environment for children with additional needs and is looking for someone who can build positive relationships with pupils and contribute to their development.

The school is looking to take on an SEN Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, supporting children with additional needs throughout the school day. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will provide classroom support, assist with personal care when required and use a kind, patient approach to help pupils access their learning and develop their independence.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Previous experience working within an education setting
• Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs
• Confidence providing personal care when required
• A kind, patient and nurturing approach
• Strong communication skills
• A willingness to support pupils with their individual learning and development needs
