Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant for a SEND school in Swanley, starting September. You will support pupils with complex needs, including PMLD, autism and ADHD, and manage challenging behaviour with a patient and positive approach.

The role offers a long-term placement with dedicated support from a 24/7 consultant team, CPD opportunities, and competitive pay rates (£90 - £115 per day). Training certificates are available through My-Progression."

Qualifications

Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary: £90 - £115 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND school in Swanley that supports pupils with a range of additional and complex needs, including PMLD, autism and ADHD. The school provides a supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to develop their independence, confidence and individual abilities.

The school is looking to take on an SEN Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from September. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will support pupils with complex needs throughout the school day and must be confident managing challenging behaviour while providing consistent, patient and positive support.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Experience working with PMLD, autism, ADHD and/or complex needs
• Confidence managing challenging behaviour
• A patient, resilient and positive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to provide consistent and reliable support
