SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Sevenoaks, Kent
Position: SEND Teaching Assistant (TA)
Contract: Full-time / Part-time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Start Date: Immediate

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a well-regarded Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school in Sevenoaks. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children with SEND.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assisting teachers in delivering differentiated learning activities
  • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and social development
  • Supporting with personal care where required
  • Working collaboratively with school staff and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have experience working with children or young people with SEND (school or care setting)
  • Are patient, empathetic, and resilient
  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Are flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic
  • Hold a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) or are willing to work towards one

Experience within an SEN or specialist setting is desirable, but we also welcome applications from individuals with relevant care or support backgrounds.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
