As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll be working in a provision with children who have autism. The children enjoy learning through play, and you’ll be encouraging them to develop confidence and to interact with their peers. You'll also need to have good knowledge of how to regulate emotions and behaviour.
Some of the children are non-verbal, so as a SEN Teaching Assistant you’ll be using alternative methods of communication.
