SEN Teaching Assistant - North West London

Location: North West London (Harrow, Brent, Barnet, Ealing, Hillingdon, Wembley, Willesden); Salary: £100-£120 per day (depending on experience); Start Date: Immediate; Contract type: Long-Term, Full-Time.

Are you an SEN Teaching Assistant or support worker looking for a stable, rewarding role in a supportive school environment?

GSL Education are recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a range of specialist SEN schools and inclusive mainstream settings in North West London. These roles support pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, SLD, PMLD, and complex needs, and offer long-term consistency with the opportunity to move into a permanent position.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs
  • Support students with behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement
  • Assist the class teacher with daily learning activities
  • Work alongside SENCOs, therapists, and pastoral teams
  • Help create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate

We are keen to speak with candidates who:

  • Have experience in SEN, education, care, youth work, or support roles
  • Are calm, patient, and confident supporting challenging behaviour
  • Are reliable and available Monday to Friday
  • Are looking for a long-term role rather than day-to-day supply

School-based experience is beneficial but not essential. Full support and guidance will be provided.
