Job summary

Qualifications

• Planning and delivering courses and lessons to meet pupils' educational needs
• Assessing, recording and reporting on pupil progress and attainment
• Providing advice and guidance to pupils on education and future careers
• Communicating with parents and collaborating with external partners
• Maintaining good order and safeguarding pupils during school activities

Responsibilities

• Planning and preparing courses and lessons
• Teaching pupils according to their educational needs and setting/marking work
• Assessing, recording and reporting on development and attainment
• Promoting pupil welfare and well-being and giving guidance on education/careers
• Participating in staff development, meetings and curriculum planning
• Discipline, safeguarding and health and safety in the school
• Assisting with arrangements for public examinations and supervision
