Job summary

Qualifications

• Holds or is working towards a Level 2 (Certificate or Diploma) in a relevant area.
• Minimum 6 weeks experience in a formal learning environment or placement.
• Core knowledge includes health and safety, development needs, and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the support and care of pupils with special educational needs.
• Develop understanding of individual pupil needs and participate in relevant programmes.
• Contribute to inclusion in mainstream schools under direction of the teacher.
• Support with operational and non-invasive medical/clinical needs as required.
• Assist with behavioural management programmes and mobility around the school.
• Provide continuity of adult care and supervise activities as directed.
