Education Authority in Northern Ireland seeks an Education Support Assistant to assist with the educational support and care of pupils with special educational needs, under the direction of teachers and EA officers.

You will contribute to classroom support, assist with programmes such as Education Plans, help with personal care and medicines, support inclusion in mainstream settings, and supervise pupils on and off transport as required.

Aufgaben

• Assist with the support and care of pupil(s) with special educational needs in the classroom and during other activities.
• Assist with implementing Education Plans and Care Plans and participate in evaluating the support.
• Contribute to the inclusion of pupils in mainstream schools under the directions of the class teacher.
• Support with operational and personal care needs including feeding, toileting and mobility as required.
• Provide continuity of adult care, supervise groups or individuals on activities, including ICT and extra-curricular tasks.
• Assist with administration tasks and production of learning materials, charts and displays.
• Attend relevant in-service training and support work placement students.
