Location & Hours

Location: Lymington area.

Hours: 8:20am to 4pm.

Age Group: 11-16.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive educational setting. The position is full-time with an immediate or January start, working with secondary-aged students (11-16) who have severe autism and Asperger's. The ideal thrives on creating inclusive learning environments and delivering tailored lessons that meet individual needs, helping students develop confidence, independence, and essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning and engaging lessons tailored to students with autism and Asperger’s.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Implementing strategies to encourage participation and progress.
  • Supporting students in developing resilience, confidence and independence.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and parents to ensure consistent support.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Minimum 6 months of childcare experience, ideally supporting children with SEN needs.
  • A patient, empathetic and positive approach to teaching.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence – essential due to the rural location.
