We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join our supportive team at an outstanding Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school in Huyton. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right SEND Teacher to make a real difference in the lives of wonderful children.

Overview

Part‑Time SEND Class Teacher

Location: Huyton, Merseyside.

Contract: Part‑Time.

Hours: 2‑3 full days per week (negotiable days).

Start Date: Different start dates throughout the year.

About the School

The school caters to students with diverse moderate to complex needs. You will be teaching classes that include children primarily diagnosed with:

  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Some classes have students with more complex needs requiring highly differentiated and specialist teaching approaches.
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Inspirational and Resilient: Able to create a stimulating and structured learning environment.
  • Highly Skilled: Proficient in planning and delivering highly differentiated lessons tailored to individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Excellent Communicator: Able to work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, parents, and external professionals.
  • Experienced in SEND (Beneficial): Experience working with MLD, ASD, and complex needs is highly desirable, but a clear passion and understanding of inclusive practice are paramount.
