Job summary

Overview

As a SEN Teacher, you will have the freedom to bring your creativity and practical teaching expertise to life. You will lead flexible, person-centred programmes of study, tailoring learning to each pupil's needs and helping them achieve meaningful outcomes. You will deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects, plan and assess teaching sessions in line with curriculum developments, and create stimulating learning environments both inside and outside the classroom. You will write, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs), set achievable targets, and build strong, positive relationships with pupils to encourage participation and motivation. Supporting pupils with complex needs and promoting their social, emotional, and behavioural development will also be a key part of your role.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Knowledge of current education practices, curriculum frameworks, and SEN provision.
  • Experience in specialist or SEN settings, supporting pupils with SEMH/EBD or challenging behaviours.
  • Creativity, patience, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving in the classroom.
Working Hours & Benefits
  • 8‑day contract: 80% of your contractual hours for 100% of your pay, giving you more time to do the things that make you happy.
  • 4‑day working week trial is available post‑probation (not a contractual benefit).
