Are you an empathetic and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding 1:1 support role?
We are seeking a focused individual to provide individual support to a specific child within a welcoming primary school environment. This is a unique opportunity to make a profound and immediate impact on a pupil's learning journey, confidence, and overall well‑being.
Working closely with the Class Teacher and the SENCO, your day‑to‑day will include:
Tailored Support: Providing consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day across all areas of the primary curriculum.
Plan Implementation: Delivering the child's Individual Education Plan (IEP) or Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan.
Adaptation: Modifying activities and preparing specific resources to suit the pupil's learning style and needs.
Intervention: Delivering targeted intervention sessions to boost progress.
Social & Emotional Guidance: Helping the pupil navigate social situations and managing emotional or communication needs.
Monitoring: Tracking, recording, and reporting on behaviour and academic progress.
We are looking for a highly patient, resilient, and proactive individual who meets the following criteria:
Experience: Previous experience working with primary-aged children with SEN (e.g., ASD, communication difficulties, or SEMH).
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with the pupil, staff, and parents.
Professionalism: Ability to maintain strict professional boundaries and confidentiality.
Mindset: A deep commitment to promoting inclusion and fostering independence for the pupil.
Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in supporting teaching and learning or SEN are highly desirable.
Daily Rate: £90 per day.
Professional Growth: A specific temporary contract that provides focused, meaningful experience in the SEN sector.
