Job summary

Academics is seeking an experienced SEN TA for a long-term role at a SEN school in Bromley. You will support pupils with learning and behaviour needs, working closely with teachers to deliver inclusive activities that foster confidence and progress.

This rewarding position offers competitive daily pay (92-95 per day, dependent on qualifications and experience), weekly pay, and ongoing consultant support. DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs is desirable.
• A caring, patient and resilient attitude with a genuine passion for supporting children.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• The right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, helping them to engage with learning and reach their full potential.
• Work alongside teachers to deliver creative and inclusive learning activities.
• Support children with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Speech & Language needs and learning difficulties.
• Adapt resources and learning strategies to meet individual needs.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour through patience and consistency.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, teachers and families.
• Support with personal care or specialist equipment where required.
