Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking an experienced SEN TA to support children with special educational needs in Bromley. The role involves 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils access learning and build communication and independence alongside teaching staff.

The successful candidate will have SEND experience, knowledge of autism or additional needs, strong safeguarding awareness and the patience to work well within a team. Salary is £90-£100 per day, with PAYE tax and NI handled appropriately.

Do you have experience working with autism, communication difficulties, learning difficulties or complex needs?

Are you a patient, caring and resilient SEN TA who is confident supporting pupils with additional needs?

TeacherActive are recruiting for experienced SEN TAs to work within specialist SEND settings across Bromley.

As an SEN TA, you may be required to provide 1:1 and small-group support, help pupils access learning, encourage communication and independence, and work closely with teachers and other professionals to meet individual needs.

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND
• Experience working with children or young people with autism or additional needs
• A patient, caring and resilient approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Confidence supporting pupils with complex needs
• A good understanding of safeguarding
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Personal care experience would be beneficial
