Job summary

Remedy Education in Chelmsford is recruiting a patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a well‑resourced school serving both primary and secondary pupils. The role is full‑time and long‑term with an ASAP start and potential for permanency.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, assist with communication and EHCP targets, and work with teachers and external professionals in a calm, nurturing setting that emphasizes pupil wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Comfortable working across both primary and secondary age groups.
• Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils.
• Willing to support personal care where needed.
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

Are you a patient, caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking to start a new role as soon as possible where you can genuinely make a difference?

We are working with a well-resourced and highly supportive SEN school in Chelsmford that caters for both primary and secondary-aged pupils. They are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision as soon as possible.
