Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a well-resourced school in Chelmsford. You will provide 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes, helping with communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.

Experience with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs is preferred. You will follow EHCP targets, support personal care if required, and work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to maintain a calm,

Are you a patient, caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking to start a new role as soon as possible where you can genuinely make a difference?

We are working with a well-resourced and highly supportive SEN school in Chelsmford that caters for both primary and secondary-aged pupils. They are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision as soon as possible.

The Role

• Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes
• Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning

• Encouraging independence, confidence and social development

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs
• Calm, patient and resilient approach
• Comfortable working across both primary and secondary age groups
• Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils
• Willing to support personal care where needed
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Both experienced SEN Teaching Assistants and strong mainstream TAs looking to move into a specialist setting are encouraged to apply.
