Job summary

Remedy Education is recruiting a patient SEN Teaching Assistant for a well-resourced primary and secondary school in Chelmsford. The role is full-time, long-term with an ASAP start, supporting pupils with a range of needs and EHCP targets across both key stages.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, help with communication, emotional regulation and independence, and collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to maintain a calm, structured learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Comfortable working across primary and secondary age groups.
• Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils.

We are working with a well-resourced and highly supportive SEN school in Chelsmford that caters for both primary and secondary-aged pupils. They are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision as soon as possible.

The Role

• Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes
• Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning

• Helping maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment
• Encouraging independence, confidence and social development

The Ideal Candidate

• Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils

Both experienced SEN Teaching Assistants and strong mainstream TAs looking to move into a specialist setting are encouraged to apply.
