Job summary

SENse Learning in Bournemouth is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support in homes and community settings. You will work flexibly with clients and schools, crafting sessions to meet individual needs and advance SEND learners.

The role focuses on confidence, emotional regulation, life-skills development, and an inclusive approach. DBS clearance and references are required as part of safer recruitment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working with children or young people with complex additional needs.
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references.
• UK-based with right to work; DBS can be facilitated if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings with creative activities.
• Build life skills, confidence, and independence through trauma-informed approaches.
• Offer feedback and reflections to track progress and adapt support.
