Job summary

SENse Learning is recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support in homes and community settings across the UK. The role focuses on developing confidence, emotional regulation, and essential life skills alongside education for SEND learners.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of experience with complex needs, a safeguarding mindset, and a DBS clearance. Flexible hours and self-employed engagement support a meaningful, impact-first career with ongoing

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience with children/young people with complex needs (ASC, ADHD, SEMH, trauma).
• DBS clearance and 2+ professional references.
• UK-based with right to work; safeguarding knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people in homes and community settings.
• Provide one-to-one support and deliver creative, interest-based activities.
• Support life skills, confidence and independence; use trauma-informed approaches.
• Offer feedback to track progress and adapt support as needed.
