Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support in homes and community settings across the UK. You will work flexibly with clients and schools, delivering holistic, interest-based sessions tailored to each learner.

The role focuses on confidence, emotional regulation, and life skills alongside education, with safeguarding and DBS considerations. Self-employed, rolling interviews, and a varied caseload are expected.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working with children or young people with complex needs (e.g. ASC, ADHD, SEMH, etc.).
• UK-based with right to work; enhanced DBS preferred (we can assist).
• Ability to work in homes and community settings with flexible sessions.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings.
• Deliver creative, interest-based activities aligned to individual needs.
• Support development of life skills, confidence and independence; model emotional regulation.
