Job summary

SENSE Learning is seeking dedicated mentors to provide one-to-one learning support for SEND learners, working in homes and community settings. Roles include Education Assistant, Education Mentor, and Learning Support Mentor, with interviews arranged as applications come in.

Roles offer flexible hours and modes (in-person, hybrid, community-based) to fit your schedule, supporting students who are often disengaged from traditional education while delivering meaningful, impact-driven support.

Qualifications

• Experience: At least 2 years of work with children or young people with complex needs.
• UK-based with right to work in the UK, including remote/online work.
• Enhanced DBS (we can assist) and 2+ professional references.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people facing challenges.
• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings with creative activities.
• Support life skills, confidence, and independence.
• Use trauma-informed approaches and flexible strategies for diverse needs.
• Model and encourage emotional regulation; track progress and adapt support.
