Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking Education Mentors to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support for young people with complex needs. Roles include Education Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, and Learning Support Mentor, with sessions in homes and community settings.

Flexible schedules and part-time to full-time hours are available, tailored to clients and schools. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in related roles, DBS clearance, and a passion for safeguarding; UK-based with right to

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working with children or young people with complex additional needs.
• Enhanced DBS clearance is required (we can facilitate this if needed).
• UK-based with right to work in the UK and safeguarding knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people.
• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings with creative activities.
• Support development of life skills, confidence and independence.
• Use trauma-informed approaches and flexible strategies to support needs.
• Provide feedback to track progress and adapt support.
