Job summary

SENSE Learning is seeking Education Mentors to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support for SEND learners in the UK. Roles include Education Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, and Learning Support Mentor, with sessions in homes and community settings.

You will build trust, deliver creative activities, and help learners develop life skills and emotional regulation, working in a flexible, self-employed capacity with rolling interviews and ongoing client engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young people with complex needs is essential.
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references are required.
• UK-based with right to work; safeguarding knowledge is important.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one mentoring in homes and community settings.
• Deliver creative, interest-based activities to support learning and life skills.
• Use trauma-informed strategies to promote emotional regulation and independence.
• Track progress and provide reflections to adapt support as needed.
