Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support across homes and community settings. You will work with young people with complex needs, building confidence, emotional regulation, and essential life skills while collaborating with parents, carers, or schools.

The role is self-employed with flexible hours and rolling interviews, offering meaningful work supporting SEND learners and contributing to a brighter future for students in

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with complex additional needs (e.g. ASC, ADHD, SEMH, EBSA, trauma, PDA, mental health).
• Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate) and 2+ professional references.
• Child-centered, holistic approach; ingenuity and creativity to tailor curriculum to the individual student.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people in homes and community settings.
• Provide one-to-one support with creative, interest-based activities.
• Support development of life skills, confidence, and independence.
• Use trauma-informed approaches to support a wide range of needs.
• Provide feedback and reflections to track progress and adapt support.
