SENse Learning is hiring multiple SEN Teaching Assistants to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support for SEND learners in homes and community settings across the UK. Roles are self-employed, with flexible hours and ongoing interviews as applications are received.

The work focuses on building confidence, emotional regulation and life skills, not just academics, and requires DBS clearance and references. Rolling interviews and client coordination offered.

Qualifikationen

• At least 2 years of experience working with children or young people with complex additional needs (e.g. ASC, ADHD, SEMH, EBSA, trauma, PDA, mental health)
• Ideal backgrounds include Support Workers, Learning Support Assistants, Teaching Assistants, Youth Workers or related care/education roles
• Approach is child-centred and holistic; ingenuity to adapt curriculum to the student
• Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate) and 2+ professional references
• Based in the UK with right to work, even for remote/online jobs
• Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

Aufgaben

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people who have faced challenges in education
• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings with creative, interest-based activities
• Support life skills, confidence and independence development
• Use trauma-informed approaches and flexible strategies for varied needs
• Model and encourage emotional regulation and feedback progress to carers/teams
• Join a self-employed mentoring network and support learners and families
