Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work one-to-one with SEND learners in homes and community settings across the UK. The role focuses on holistic, interest-based sessions tailored to each student’s needs, beyond traditional classroom settings.

You will help develop life skills, confidence, and emotional regulation while delivering creative, person-centered education and safeguarding responsibly within a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young people with complex additional needs (e.g., ASC, ADHD, SEMH, EBSA, trauma, PDA, mental health).
• Background in care or education roles helps.
• DBS clearance and 2+ professional references are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people.
• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings with creative activities.
• Support life skills, confidence, and independence.
• Use trauma-informed approaches and flexible strategies for diverse needs.
• Provide feedback to track progress and adapt support.
