Job summary

SENse Learning is hiring SEN Teaching Assistants to work across homes and community settings, delivering bespoke, interest-based learning sessions. You will support learners with complex needs, focusing on confidence, emotional regulation and life skills in a flexible, self-employed role.

Roles are ongoing with rolling interviews; in-person, hybrid and remote opportunities exist. DBS and references are required, with sessions coordinated with families or schools to fit your schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with complex needs (ASC, ADHD, SEMH, etc.).
• Ability to build trust and adapt approaches to individual learners.
• DBS check and two professional references preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support in homes and community settings.
• Deliver holistic, interest-based sessions tailored to each learner.
• Support development of life skills, confidence and independence using trauma-informed approaches.
