Zusammenfassung

SENse Learning seeks Education Assistants to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support for SEND learners, with sessions in homes and community settings. You will work to build confidence, emotional regulation, and life skills through creative, holistic teaching approaches and a child-centred plan.

Qualifikationen

• Experience: at least 2 years working with children or young people with complex additional needs (e.g. ASC, ADHD, SEMH, EBSA, trauma, PDA, mental health)
• Background: Suitable for roles like Support Workers, Learning Support Assistants (LSAs), Teaching Assistants (TAs), Higher-Level TAs, Youth Workers, Personal Assistants (PAs), or other care/education backgrounds
• Approach: Child-centred, holistic delivery; create an individualised curriculum
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references
• Location: UK-based with right to work in the UK, including remote/online roles
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding

Aufgaben

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people who may have faced challenges in previous education settings
• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings, delivering creative activities
• Support development of life skills, confidence, and independence
• Use trauma-informed approaches and flexible strategies for a wide range of needs
• Model and encourage emotional regulation
• Provide feedback and reflections to track progress and adapt support
