Job summary

Qualifications

• Essential criteria include holding a Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification with 6 weeks experience in a learning environment or 12 months’ experience in a formal learning environment.
• Core knowledge covers Health and safety, development needs of children/young people, safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the education support and care of pupils with special educational needs.
• Support pupils in learning environments, including management of learning and use of equipment.
• Assist with administration and recording of pupil progress.
• Attend in-service training and support work placement tasks.
