Job summary

The Education Authority (Northern Ireland) invites applications for a Classroom Assistant – Special Educational Needs. Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in a relevant area from a recognised awarding body.
• Experience requirement: 6 weeks in learning environment or 12 months in formal setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist pupils with SEN to access the curriculum and participate in learning activities.
• Support with personal care, and implementation of Education Plans and Care Plans as directed.
• Help include pupils in mainstream settings and support behavioural management.
