A leading accountancy firm in Thame is seeking a Semi-Senior Accountant to join their supportive team. This role offers varied client exposure, full ACA/ACCA study support, and a clear progression pathway towards Senior Accountant level. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years' experience in a UK accountancy practice and strong knowledge of accounts preparation and VAT. The position provides a salary between £28,000 and £35,000, with opportunities for hybrid working after probation.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice.
  • Studying ACA/ACCA or AAT qualified (or qualified by experience).
  • Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and VAT.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Assisting with tax returns and VAT compliance.
  • Drafting management accounts and providing bookkeeping support where needed.
  • Building client relationships and acting as a day-to-day contact.
  • Supporting seniors and managers with ad-hoc advisory projects.
