Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs or challenging behaviours.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed approaches and restorative practice.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis.
  • Implement behaviour support strategies and de-escalation techniques.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining a calm, safe, and positive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to deliver tailored learning plans.
  • Promote emotional regulation and positive social interactions among pupils.
