Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a Learning Mentor for our Alternative Provision team in Launceston. You will work one-on-one with young people facing SEMH challenges, delivering tailored learning and helping them regain confidence in education.

You will travel to local communities to offer engaging learning environments, while supporting GCSE English and Maths progress and tracking emotional wellbeing and attendance. A full UK driving license is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people with SEMH needs or challenging behaviours.
• Strong working knowledge of GCSE English and Maths curriculum.
• Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle for community travel.

Responsibilities

• Deliver community-based education in the local area.
• Plan and deliver GCSE English and Maths support for students.
• Build trust and resilience using trauma-informed approaches.
