Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a Learning Mentor to join our Alternative Provision team in Launceston. You will work one-on-one with young people with SEMH needs, delivering tailored learning and helping rebuild their confidence in education.

You’ll deliver community-based education, provide GCSE English/Maths support, and use trauma-informed approaches to re-engage learners. A full UK driving licence and mileage allowance are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people with SEMH or challenging behaviours.
• Strong working knowledge of GCSE English and Maths curriculum.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle for community travel.

Responsibilities

• Deliver community-based education in local settings tailored to the learner.
• Plan and deliver targeted support for GCSE English and Maths.
• Build trust and confidence using trauma-informed approaches to re-engage learners.
• Track progress by monitoring wellbeing, attendance and milestones.
