Job summary

Hampshire County Council is recruiting a Behaviour Support Worker in Waterlooville to support children and young people with SEMH needs. You will deliver targeted interventions, provide behavioural support and work with schools, families and partners to promote inclusion.

This full-time, on-site role offers a salary between £28,697 and £31,573 per year (pro rata) and a supportive team focused on improving education outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in secondary schools with SEMH needs.
• Knowledge of child development and engagement factors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay calm and solution-focused in challenging situations.
• Commitment to inclusion and supporting every child.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group interventions to help pupils engage in learning.
• Provide practical, pastoral and behavioural support using agreed strategies.
• Collaborate with schools, families and partners to implement support plans.
• Model best practice and contribute to workforce development.
• Maintain records and contribute to reviews and evaluation of impact.
