Job summary

Hampshire County Council is seeking a Behaviour Support Worker to join the Primary Behaviour Service. You will support children and young people with SEMH needs through targeted interventions, working closely with schools, families and partners to promote inclusion and emotional wellbeing.

You will contribute to workforce development and service expansion, with access to Employee Assistance and a Local Government Pension Scheme.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group interventions that help children and young people overcome barriers to learning and participation.
• Provide practical, pastoral and behavioural support, using de-escalation techniques and agreed strategies to meet individual needs.
• Work closely with schools, families and partner agencies to develop and implement effective support plans.
• Model and share good practice, contributing to behaviour support consultation, advice, training and workforce development.
• Maintain accurate records, contribute to reviews and help evaluate the impact of support provided.
