Job summary

Sofitel Heathrow is seeking a Security Officer to safeguard guests and staff within our premium hotel. You will be vigilant on the premises, monitor surveillance, and support the Security Manager in coordinating measures for VIP visits and events.

We value confidence, professionalism, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. A 5-star hotel background is advantageous; an SIA license is essential for the role. This is an on-site position with a dynamic team at our Heathrow property.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and employees.
• Support Security Manager with measures for visits of guests and VIPs.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and assist with investigations as needed.
• Carry out security patrols and prevent unauthorised access.
• Verify key registers and locker checks; report discrepancies.
• Ensure no loitering in and around hotel premises; be vigilant for unusual packages or vehicles.

Job description

Salary – £27,837 plus Tronc - 4 on 4 off pattern - 38.5 hour contractHoliday – 20 days holiday, enhanced after 5 years of service.

What you will do

• Security Officers in our team always ensure a safe and secure environment for both guest and employees of our hotel and grounds.
• Assisting our Security Manger put security measures in place for the visits of guests and VIPs to for the hotel and surrounding area.
• Monitoring surveillance cameras and assist with investigations when necessary.
• Carry out security patrols ensuring no unauthorised access in matters involving security, fire and health & safety.
• Conduct random checks of key registers and locker checks to ensure the hotel’s policies are adhered to and report on discrepancies.
• Ensure no undesirables loiter in or around the hotel premises.
• Be alert for any unusual packages, guests or vehicles and advise security manager
