Job description
Overview

De-activating and activating alarms, and unlocking and locking buildings, rooms, external barriers and gates to ensure that no unauthorised personnel or hazards are on site. Identifying and reporting Health & Safety issues and carrying out first aid if necessary. Maintaining records including incident reports using computer- and paper-based systems. Present a suitable image to uphold the Clients prestige by always dealing professionally with people. Respond to requests for assistance. Will be standing behind the barriers visually verifying the authorised identity of staff(s) as they enter the premises. Whilst on post will remain vigilant and present a welcoming atmosphere to staff and visitors entering the building. To be thoroughly conversant with telephone, alarm, IT systems, firefighting, CCTV and any other systems or equipment used in the course of duty. Have a comprehensive working knowledge of assignment instructions complete with all current amendments and temporary additions. To detect and prevent any occurrences that may lead to loss by fire, flood, plant failure, theft, vandalism or any other form of crime. To detect and prevent situations that may lead to an accident or personal injury and to ensure that any such situation is promptly reported.
