Overview

Security Lead - UK, London - Permanent Contract

This is your opportunity to work for a global data centre company that partners with the world’s largest technology firms to provide robust and sustainable operating infrastructure.

With significant investments secured, this data centre group is entering their next phase of growth and are looking to bring on board a Security Lead.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, coordination, and deployment of ICN (Industrial Control Networks) and OT (Operational Technology) network systems to ensure on-time integration.
  • Act as the Security & Communications Lead, engaging with project teams to align technical resources with project requirements and schedules.
  • Coordinate technical installations for structured cabling systems and IP-based security solutions, ensuring compliance with technical requirements standards.
  • Ensure technical compliance with employer’s requirements and produce compliance statements when needed.
  • Lead client technical workshops to gather and define specific project requirements.
  • Review and validate Project Initiation Documents (PID) before submission to clients to ensure technical accuracy and alignment with the project goals.
  • Oversee the implementation of IP-based security systems.
  • Ensure the successful testing and commissioning of all security and ICT systems, meeting performance standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Support project teams across the EMEA region during planning, design, construction, commissioning, and handover of data centre projects.
  • Engage and manage multiple vendors, technical partners, and stakeholders across the region to ensure smooth execution of security and ICT installations.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Authorised Technology Partners (ATPs) and Technical Site Managers, acting as the primary point of contact for technical inquiries.
  • Lead training courses and internal and external workshops, empowering teams with technical knowledge and best practices.
  • Drive high standards in customer service, ensuring all systems deliver value and functionality to meet end-user needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Security Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications are advantageous, such as: PMP (Project Management Professional), Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM), CompTIA Security+, LEED AP or equivalent.
