Job summary

A teaching recruitment agency is looking for an experienced 1:1 SEN Tutor to support a secondary-aged pupil in Lytham, starting September 2025. The ideal candidate should have experience in an SEN setting, relevant tutoring qualifications, and the ability to deliver tailored sessions. This ongoing position requires 10 hours of work per week at a minimum of £25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience working within an SEN setting.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service required.
• Two professional references needed.

Responsibilities

• Support a secondary-aged pupil in 1:1 sessions.
• Deliver tailored sessions to enhance engagement.
• Provide weekly progress updates to Prospero.

1:1 SEN Tutor - Lytham

Prospero Teaching is recruiting an experienced 1:1 Tutor to support a secondary-aged pupil in Lytham, starting in September. This face‑to‑face role is ideally suited to a tutor with experience working within an SEN setting.

Contract/Position Details

• Location: Face‑to‑face in Lytham (community or pupil home)
• Position: SEN Tutor
• Age group: Secondary (Key Stage 3)
• Subjects: Maths (5 hours/week) & English (5 hours/week)
• Start date: September 2025
• Contract type: Ongoing
• Hours: 10 hours per week
• Pay: £25 per hour minimum

Requirements

• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
• Overseas Police Check (if applicable)
• Two professional references
• QTS or relevant tutoring experience
• Experience working with SEN (preferred)
