Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an Inclusion Support Mentor to join a specialist Secondary SEN school in the Trafford area. You will support pupils aged 11-16 with a range of needs including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, Speech & Language Difficulties, MLD and associated behavioural needs, helping them access education and achieve their full potential.

This temporary role offers weekly pay, dedicated consultant support, access to free CPD training, and opportunities for long-term and permanent roles within

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Patient, resilient and empathetic approach.
  • Background in education, youth work, care, coaching, or support work is desirable.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN.
  • Build positive relationships and act as a consistent role model.
  • Support learners with emotional regulation, behaviour, and social development.
  • Encourage engagement in lessons and school activities.
  • Work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team to implement support strategies.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress and wellbeing.

Inclusion Support Mentor

Secondary SEN School | Trafford | Full-Time | Immediate Start | Teaching Personnel

Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Inclusion Support Mentor to join a specialist Secondary SEN school in the Trafford area. You will support pupils aged 11-16 with a range of needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Speech & Language Difficulties, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and associated behavioural needs, helping them access education and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN.
  • Build positive relationships and act as a consistent role model.
  • Support learners with emotional regulation, behaviour, and social development.
  • Encourage engagement in lessons and school activities.
  • Work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team to implement support strategies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
