Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Salford is seeking a dedicated Inclusion & Learning Support Practitioner to join a welcoming SEN school. This full-time role offers an immediate start and the chance to make a meaningful difference for pupils with moderate SEN such as ASC, MLD, SLCN, ADHD.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, help deliver personalised activities, and work with teachers, therapists, and families to promote inclusion, progress, and wellbeing.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN.
  • Patient, resilient and compassionate approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Desirable but not essential: relevant qualifications in Education, Childcare, Health & Social Care or Psychology.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional learning needs.

Inclusion & SEN Support Assistant
Specialist Education Support Role | Salford | Full-Time | Immediate Start

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs to achieve their full potential? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a dedicated Inclusion & Learning Support Practitioner to join a welcoming SEN school in the Salford area. This is a full‑time position with an immediate start, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils with a range of moderate Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The school supports pupils who may present with needs such as Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, social communication challenges, and developmental delays. Staff work closely together to provide a nurturing, structured, and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional learning needs.

  • A patient, resilient, and compassionate approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting vulnerable learners.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Confidence managing a range of learning, communication, and behavioural needs.Relevant qualifications in Education, Childcare, Health & Social Care, Psychology, or related fields are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
