This job opportunity as a Second Chef at Barchester Healthcare in Fareham offers the chance to work with fresh seasonal food and have a better work-life balance. Main duties of the job

As a Second Chef at Barchester Healthcare, you will have the opportunity to work in a care home setting, delivering hotel/restaurant standards without the long hours and split shifts. You will collaborate with the Head Chef to develop menus that are both flavoursome and nutritious, tailoring them to the preferences and needs of the residents. This role requires experience in working with fresh seasonal produce, a good understanding of nutrition, and the ability to create a welcoming environment within the home.

Working as a bank Second Chef at Barchester, you will have the chance to deliver hotel/restaurant standards without the split shifts and long weeks. You will assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome and well balanced menus whilst working with residents to tailor menus around them. NEED TO HAVE

  • Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent

  • Experience of working with fresh seasonal food
  • The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home
  • Good understanding of HACCP

Qualifications
