Our client is expanding their Sea Freight / Transport team and is looking for an experienced Customs Clearance Specialist to join their Stanford-le-Hope office.

About the Role :

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and take on a pivotal role within the sea freight / transport environment. We’re seeking a professional with at least three years of Customs Clearance experience who can confidently handle key responsibilities, including :

Key Responsibilities :
  • Communicating effectively with UK and overseas agents via phone and email.
  • Arranging FCL (Full Container Load) and LCL (Less than Container Load) cargo from origin ports to the UK.
  • Providing accurate freight quotes and general charge estimates.
  • Inputting data into the in-house system with precision.
  • Advising customs on shipment updates and handling releases and deliveries.
  • Preparing and issuing invoices.
  • Ensuring bills of lading are correctly endorsed.
  • Managing the full scope of ocean import processes, including customs clearance, releases, deliveries, and billing.
What We’re Looking For :
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Brexit transition and its impact on customs procedures.
  • Proficiency with systems such as Destin8, CNS, and Sequoia.
  • A detail-oriented professional with excellent organizational and communication skills.
