A community support service in Chorley is seeking a Personal Assistant for a young adult with Autism and Severe Learning Disabilities. This part-time role involves 5 hours of support weekly, ensuring the client's safety during outdoor activities, swimming, and cafe visits. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a personal assistant to provide support to a young adult with Autism and Severe Learning Disabilities within the local community.
We are looking for a motivated, fun, fit and healthy individual with a background and understanding in special education needs. Working with the client will require patience and calmness.
The main duties will involve supporting the client to access the local community for social and leisure activities. The client has no safety awareness so will need to be kept safe at all times. He loves being outdoors, swimming and cafe visits.
This is a part‑time position for 5 hours per week with an hourly rate of £13.50 plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and a workplace pension scheme.
