Job summary

Demob Job Ltd is seeking an Electronics Repair Engineer for a well-established business specialising in critical communication systems. The role is based in Scotland with initial training in Wales, accommodation provided.

You will work on RF transmitters, diagnose faults to component level, and occasionally perform field duties. The successful candidate will live near Aberdeen, Dundee, Stirling, Edinburgh, Perth, or nearby.

Qualifications

• ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Radio Engineering or related discipline
• Experience diagnosing faults on PCBs down to individual components
• Confident soldering, desoldering and electronic repairs
• Experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers and multimeters

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, fault find and repair RF transmitters and associated equipment to component level
• Test, align and calibrate repaired equipment prior to service
• Use electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators and spectrum analysers
• Install, commission, maintain and upgrade communications systems and equipment
• Support fault investigation across customer and network sites
• Participate in an out of hours support rota when trained
