Job summary

Demob Job Ltd is recruiting for an Electronics Repair Engineer to join the engineering team in Scotland. The role involves fault finding and repairing RF transmitters and related communications equipment down to component level, including PCB repair and soldering.

The successful candidate will train at the Wales workshop, with accommodation provided, and then operate predominantly in Scotland with some field duties. Candidates from ex-military electronics backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• HNC/ONC in Electronics or equivalent in Electronics/Telecommunications or related field.
• Experience diagnosing faults on PCBs down to component level including resistors and capacitors.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home occasionally when required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, fault find and repair RF transmitters and related equipment to component level, including PCB repair, soldering and component replacement.
• Test, align and calibrate repaired equipment before returning to service.
• Use electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters and spectrum analysers.
• Install, commission, maintain and upgrade communications systems and equipment.
• Support fault investigations across customer and network sites and participate in an out-of-hours rota when required.
