Job description

A Global leader in Pharma is seeking a Scientific Publications professional to support global data dissemination and advance scientific and medical understanding of their products and therapeutic areas. In this role, you will collaborate across a global matrix environment to help develop and execute publication plans for assigned products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate medical strategies into actionable, globally aligned publication plans
  • Support timely execution of publication activities, including vendor management
  • Apply good publication practices and ensure compliance with global SOPs and documentation requirements
  • Review publication drafts for scientific quality and alignment with author direction
  • Track budgets, report on progress, and contribute to internal publication metrics
  • Build effective relationships with internal teams, academic experts, and external partners
  • Provide input on publication strategy based on disease-area knowledge, clinical development timelines, and the evolving scientific and regulatory landscape
  • Participate in cross-functional medical teams and liaise with global, regional and affiliate Medical Affairs colleagues
Professional Profile
  • Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD) in a scientific or medical discipline
  • 3+ years’ experience in healthcare, academia, clinical research, or medical / technical writing
  • Strong understanding of good publication practices (ICMJE, GPP3, IFPMA, etc.) and global transparency requirements
  • Experience in ophthalmology and managing publications in a global matrix environment
  • Skilled in scientific writing, editing, problem-solving and managing multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with publication management systems and clinical trial data
  • Proven ability to collaborate with vendors and cross-functional partners
